Gardaí Suspended Over Assault Claim

Four Garda officers have been suspended from duty, following an assault allegation.

Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy suspended the officers, who are understood to be from Dublin Garda stations, after the Garda Ombudsman Commission received a complaint, reportedly from a man who claimed that he had been assaulted by gardaí in a flat in south Dublin earlier this month.

The officers have been removed from duty while an inquiry into the complaint is conducted.
