Dispute Causes Train Disruption

Management and unions at Iarnród Eireann are due to meet at the Labour Relations Commission this morning in an effort to resolve a dispute over rostering.

The disagreement resulted in some services being disrupted at the weekend.

Iarnród Eireann cancelled this morning's 6.30am train from Portlaoise to Dublin.

The 5.30pm train from Heuston Station in Dublin to Carlow has also been cancelled.

Iarnród Eireann says the first Sligo to Dublin rail service this morning is running late for operation reasons, and is unrelated to the dispute.

Meanwhile, there are 20 minute delays to southbound bound Dart services due to a technical problem at Connolly Station.
