Queen Set For Irish Visit?
Queen Elizabeth is very keen to pay a Royal visit to Ireland, the Taoiseach has said.
Responding to a question in the Dáil, Bertie Ahern said the Queen would "dearly love" to come to the Emerald Isle.
Mr Ahern went on to say that if the issue of policing was completed in Northern Ireland, and it was scheduled to be in the short term, then the Irish government could put its mind to considering the issue seriously.
However, he said that any potential visit by Queen would not happen in 2008 as it was going to take some considerable time to organise.
The Taoiseach also added that government had not discussed the matter.
