Pensioner Dies After Co Clare Fire
An elderly woman has died following a house fire in County Clare, it has been revealed.
The blaze took place near the village of O'Callaghan's Mills just after 6.30pm yesterday evening.
The woman was in her 80s.
A technical examination is currently underway to determine the cause of the fire.
Meanwhile, two people have been rescued from a residential building on the North Circular Road in Dublin after a fire broke out.
Four units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene at Delia House, just after 3am. Both people have reportedly escaped serious injury and were treated at the scene by ambulance staff.

A woman has died in a house fire in Co Clare. The victim, in her 50s, was alone at the property in Derrynavaha, Craggah, when the fire started at around 7pm on Sunday night. Gardai are currently investigating the incident.

Mountjoy Prison Cell Fire
A fire broke out in a cell at Dublin's Mountjoy Prison on Thursday night, according to reports. It is understood that a prisoner had set fire to a cell. However, it is believed that prison staff and fire crews were able to contain the fire quickly. No-one was injured in the incident.

Woman Dies In Dublin House Fire
A pensioner has died in a house fire in Dublin. Emergency services attended the scene on St Malpas Place shortly after 7am on Sunday. A 70-year-old woman was taken to St James Hospital and was pronounced dead. No one else was in the house at the time of the fire. The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
