N11 Opens After €34m Upgrade

The N11 in Co Wicklow officially opens today after a €34m upgrade.

The Kilpedder interchange should cut the number of cars in Delgany by up to a quarter, substantially easing traffic congestion in the village.

It is also hoped the new junction will cater for increased traffic from 3,000 planned new homes on the edge of Greystones.

The interchange will link the southern access road into Greystones to the N11 and allow traffic to move east-west on and off the N11 serving Delgany, Kilpedder, Kilquade and Willow Grove.

Local TD Dick Roche, Minister for European Affairs, will officially open the road.
