Airline Pays For Passengers
A budget airline has admitted to paying passengers to fly on its planes.
The airline, Flybe, said it was hiring temporary workers to fly in its planes in order to avoid penalties from the Airport.
If the airline fails to bring 15,000 passengers on its new Norwich to Dublin flight, Norwich can withhold a rebate of £280,000 from the airline.
Flybe have taken to hiring temporary numbers to make up the numbers on its flights, but Norwich Aiport have spoken out the airline is acting irresponsibly, and that it will not pay a rebate on false numbers.
Environmental campaigners have accused the airline of scheduling unnecessary flights to make up their quotas. Flybe says it will pay to offset the carbon emissions caused by today's extra flights.
