Continuing Violence In Shoot City
Gardai in Limerick are investigating series of gun attacks in the city over the weekend.
A 27-year-old man escaped unharmed from a gun attack at a house in O'Malley Park. The attack took place when the man went downstairs to investigate after a rock was hurled through his front window shortly before 6am on Saturday.
A masked gunman confronted the man who ran back upstairs. The gunman pursued him and a shot was fired at him. The gunman left the house and fired another shot through the bedroom window before fleeing the scene.
Gardaí are also investigating the shooting dead of a 40-year-old man in broad daylight.
Mark Moloney was killed by a gunman who fired from the front passenger seat of a black Toyota Celica on the Claughaun Road in Garryowen.
Gardaí believe the man was killed despite only being innocently connected to one of the feuding gangs in the area.
Garda continue to experience difficulty in the area even with the presence of extra patrols and the current deployment of the Emergency Response Team.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Dublin Gardaí are seeking a man in connection with shots fired at a house in the north of the city on Wednesday night. The incident occurred on Moatview Avenue in the Priorswood area of Coolock at about 9.40pm. Gardaí understand a lone gunman discharged at least two rounds from a shotgun before leaving the scene on foot.

Man In Court Over Rathfarnham Bank Robbery
A man in his 30s is due to appear before a sitting of Tallaght District Court this morning charged in relation to a bank robbery at Rathfarnham Shopping Centre on Tuesday. Around noon, a lone gunman entered the Bank branch and demanded money from the cashier.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.
