Missing Kilkenny Pensioner Found Alive In Tenerife

A 68-year-old Kilkenny woman who went missing for three days has been found been found alive.

Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Butler, suffers from a mild form of Alzheimer's disease. She was checking in with her family on Sunday morning before going missing from the hotel. Her distraught family searched the area and distributed posters, but were agonisingly unable to trace her whereabouts for three days.

She was discovered in a disorientated state in the rocky Del Conde area about 4km from the hotel where her family are staying. She had wandered off during check in.

Residents in the area recognised her from the posters circulated by the family and she is now in a local hospital for a check-up, but she is reported to be in good health.
