Cross-border Car Chase After Robbery On Priest

Three men have been arrested following an armed burglary on a parochial house in Armagh on Tuesday night.

The three men, one of them armed with a handgun, forced their way into a parochial house in Armagh locking two people into the bathroom while they searched the building for money.

The men then fled from the scene upon the arrival of police.

The police tried to stop the escape of the raiders' getaway car, but it rammed through three PSNI vehicles before heading towards the southern border.

The Gardaí were alerted and subsequently pursued the car through Co Monaghan before arresting two men.

The PSNI also detained a third man in Benburb, Co Tyrone.

Three Men Arrested In Connection With Suspected Armed Robbery
Three men have been arrested in connection with a suspected armed robbery at a shop in Bawnogue Shopping Centre, Clondalkin. Two masked men threatened shop staff with a suspected firearm and fled the scene with a sum of cash. When the suspects left they were seen going in the direction of the Lealand estate.

Three Arrest Over Youtube Driving Video
Three men are being questioned by gardaí and two cars have been seized after a video posted on YouTube showed a group of young men from Nenagh, Co Tipperary, driving dangerously on a country road. The video, clearly displays the registration plates of the cars along with the faces of the young men involved, who are each identified by nickname.

Two Men Missing For Almost A Month
Gardai in County Kildare are appealing to the public for assistance finding two men missing since the 23rd July. David Lyndsay, aged 38, and Alan Napper, 39, were last seen at approximately 5.00pm on Wednesday, 23rd July, 2008, at Clane, Co. Kildare. The pair were in a black three door Volkswagen Golf, registration number, 05-KE-11419.

Three More Questioned Over Quinn Murder
Three men are being questioned by the PSNI about the brutal gang-murder of Co Armagh man Paul Quinn after three others were arrested by gardaí earlier. The three men arrested by the PSNI are from the Crossmaglen and Cullyhanna areas and while two are aged in their 50s, one is in his 20s.

Three Arrests Following Armed Robbery In Cork
Three people have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Cork. Two masked men armed with knives stole a sum of cash at a petrol station on Leitrim Street at around 8.30pm on Thursday night. The men made off from the scene in a car which was driven by another man and also had a female passenger.
