Suspect Device Was Elaborate Hoax
The Defence Forces say a suspicious device that saw traffic diversions put in place in Dublin this morning was an elaborate hoax.
The object was found near the Richmond Courthouse on North Brunswick Street at around 7am on Wednesday morning.
Gardai sealed off the street while army bomb disposal experts examined the device.
It was subsequently found to contain no explosive materials but an army spokesperson said the device had the appearance of a viable bomb and will be thoroughly examined for evidence.
