Four In Court Over Heroin Seizure
Four people have appeared in court on Monday charged with the possession of heroin.
The three men and one woman have all been remanded in custody to appear again in court next Thursday in connection with the find in Dublin by garda.
Appearing before Kilmainham District Court, Martin Mulcahy with an address at the Courtyard, Nenagh, Co Tipperary and his sister Catherine Mulcahy of Killaloe, Co Clare were both remanded to Cloverhill Prison.
Free legal aid was granted to Neil O'Hare of Clonlara, Co Clare, he was also remanded in custody until next Thursday along with Bernard Nugent of Castletymon, Tallaght, Co Dublin.
All four are charged with possession and possession with intent to supply.
Gardaí seized 1kg of heroin, worth around €250,000, in a raid on an apparent drugs deal handover in the Naas Road area.
It was a joint operation between the National Garda Drugs Unit and gardaí from Limerick.
Two men and a woman left Limerick on Saturday and travelled to a meeting place near the Red Cow Roundabout in Dublin.
They met a man that gardaí describe as a significant drug dealer at about 5pm.
When the heroin, which gardaí believe was destined for Limerick's criminal gangs was handed over, gardaí moved in and arrested all four people, aged between 28 and 42.

Man Arrested Over Mullingar Drug Seizure
A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a drug seizure in Co Westmeath. Gardai from the Westmeath Divisional Drug Unit stopped a car near Kinnegad at approximately 7:30pm on Wednesday. Heroin worth an estimated €45,000 was discovered during a search of the vehicle.

Suspect Released Following Drugs Raid
Heroin, cannabis and amphetamine worth an estimated €40,000 has been seized by gardaí during a search of a house in Thurles. Two arrests were made during the search, a woman in her 20s, who has since been released, and a man in his 30s, who remains in custody.

Garda are investigating the circumstances surrounding four girls ending up in hospital after an aerosol exploded in a house in Drogheda on Sunday. The girls are being treated in hospital, two in Crumlin's children's hospital and two in Tallaght, following the incident. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
