Two Arrested Over Face Slash Attacks
Gardaí have arrested two men in connection with a knife rampage, which left several young people with stab wounds to the face.
The arrests were made this morning in the Ballyfermot and Palmerstown areas of Dublin. The men are aged 22 and 25 and are presently being held in the Pearse Street and Harcourt Terrace Garda Stations.
The victims, all in their late teens or early 20s, were injured in three separate attacks in the Temple Bar area of Dublin between 2.30am and 3am.
Due to the proximity of the assaults, between D'Olier Street and Fleet Street, and the nature of the injuries, Gardaí believed the same persons were involved.
The two men remain in custody and are being questioned by gardaí

Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s, at the scene after officers uncovered 13kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €900,000 and 1.5kgs of heroin, with an estimated value of €225,000.

Two men have been arrested in connection with a heroin seizure in Togher. As part of an ongoing intelligence led operation conducted by the Cork City Divisional Drug Unit into drug dealing activities in the Cork area two men, aged 33 and 35, were stopped and searched. During the search, heroin worth an approximate street value of €8,000 was seized.

A man in his 20s has been arrested by Gardaí investigating the murder of Neil Fitzgerald. Mr Fitzgerald (36) was found dead at Hills Lane in Tallaght, Dublin, on Sunday, 05 June. Gardaí made the arrest on Wednesday. It is the third arrest made as part of their ongoing investigation. The other two men remain in custody.
