Man Killed In Construction Accident
A construction worker has died following an on-site accident in Galway.
The man, believed to be in his late 20s, died in an accident which occurred around 1.15pm today at the Sports Grounds on College Road.
The scene was cordoned off this afternoon as garda carried out a technical examination.
The Health and Safety Authority and garda have both launched separate investigations into the incident.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Accident
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of a fatal road accident in Co Kerry. A 24-year-old man died when the car he was driving hit a wall on the N69 Tralee-Listowel Road in Glenballyma in Tralee. The accident happened at about 21:45 on Saturday. A post-mortem is due to be carried out today.

Witnesses Sought To Fatal Co Wexford Road Accident
Garda in Wexford have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic accident on Tuesday evening. A man in his 60s has died in the single vehicle collision at Clone, Ferns at about 6:20pm last night. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The scene remains closed pending a forensic examination.

Man Dies In Shooting Incident
A 21-year-old man who was shot in Bunratty, Co Clare, died yesterday in hospital. Two men are still being questioned over the attack at the Bunratty Castle Hotel car park, and are being detained at Mayfield and Gurranabraher Garda Stations.

A 69-year-old man died in hospital following the collision on the Inner Relief Road in Dundalk at about 17:00, garda have reported. It is understood the man was driving a car that was involved in a collision with a bus.
