Three Freed After ATM Robbery Arrests
Gardai investigating the robbery of a substantial quantity of cash from the crew of a security van have made a number of arrests.
However, a woman and two of the men initially detained at Rathfarnham Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act have since been released without charge, while a file will be prepared for the DPP.
One other man remains in custody at Tallaght in relation to this investigation.
A woman (aged 61) who was arrested under Section 30, in connection with the robbery in Rathfarnham has also been released from garda custody without charge.
A file will also be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The robbery took place on the 8th of May at around 3.15pm when two men, one of whom was believed to be armed, held up security company staff as they were about to fill ATM's at Nutgrove Shopping Centre in Rathfarnham, Dublin.
The men escaped from the scene in a gold coloured car, this car was abandoned at Meadow Mount, Churchtown.
Following the attack, on the morning of the 10th of May, Gardai investigating the incident searched three houses in the Dublin 8 area.
During the course of the searches two handguns and a stolen van were recovered.
A total of four people were then arrested, three males one in his 20's, the other two in their 30's and a female in her 60's.

Three Arrests Following Armed Robbery In Cork
Three people have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Cork. Two masked men armed with knives stole a sum of cash at a petrol station on Leitrim Street at around 8.30pm on Thursday night. The men made off from the scene in a car which was driven by another man and also had a female passenger.

Trio In Court Over Armed Robbery
Three men are to appear in court facing charges of armed robbery on a post office in Dublin. The three will appear in court at 10.30am this morning, charged in connection with the attempted robbery at Finglas Post Office on the Monday. Two will appear at Blanchardstown District Court and one will appear at the Juvenile Court in Smithfield.

Over 100 Arrests Made In Organised Crime Sweep
113 people have been arrested as part of an operation targeting organised crime. Gardaí carried out some 236 planned searches across the country in relation to the investigation. Around 4,200 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €3.5 million were seized at five grow houses in counties Cork, Meath, Wexford and Dublin yesterday.

Arrests Follow Bungled Robbery In Meath
Three men have been arrested after a failed robbery attempt in Co Meath. Gardaí have arrested the trio who were attempting a robbery at the Marriott Hotel in Enfield in the early hours of this morning. According to a police spokesman, the three males, all in their 30s, entered the premises at 5am armed with a screwdriver and threatened staff.
