Man Shot Dead At House In Cavan
Gardai are investigating the shooting of a man at a house in Co Cavan this morning.
The 33-year-old victim is understood to have been in bed at the house in the Kilconny area of Belturbet when two men entered the room and shot him.
The incident happened shortly before 5am, and the man’s body remains at the scene, which is being examined by the Garda Technical Bureau and The State Pathologist.
Gardaí are preparing to make a statement regarding the incident later in the day.

Three Die In Separate House Fires
Two men and a woman have died in three separate house fires in Limerick and Kerry. In the latest incident, a man in his 60s died following a house fire in Tralee in Co Kerry. The fire broke out in the terraced house in Connolly Park at about 9.30pm yesterday. Gardaí were called to the scene at around 9.

Publican's Body Found
The body of a public house owner in Co Offaly has been discovered in suspicious circumstances. Officers are investigating after the discovery of the man who was in his 60s at 7.30am on Wednesday. The body was discovered by a member of the man's family, at a public house owned by the dead man in Daingean, Co.Offaly.
