Youth Due In Court Over Limerick Murder
A teenager is due to appear in court in Limerick today in connection with the murder of Patrick Coleman.
The 33-year-old father of two died after being stabbed to death. He sustained the injuries as he walked on a roadway linking Childers Road and the Southern Ring Road on September 2, 2007.
His body was discovered by Gardai when they forced their way into his home after a friend of Mr Coleman raised the alarm.

Second Murder Investigation Launched After Three People Stabbed In Cork
Gardai have launched a second murder investigation following three separate stabbing incidents in Cork city over the weekend. 30-year-old David Hamilton was stabbed at a house on the northside of Cork city on Friday around 14.30, and died at Cork University Hospital (CUH) on Monday evening.

Limerick Tunnel Opens
Taoiseach Brian Cowen will open the long awaited Limerick Tunnel today at 1pm. The route now cuts under the River Shannon and links Coonagh on the northern bank with Bunlicky on the southern bank. There are two toll plazas located on the north side of the river and it will cost €1.

Limerick Man Dies After Assault In Home
A 48-year-old man has died as a result of serious injuries he received in his own home after a serious assault. Gardaí have launched a murder investigation into the attack during which, Limerick man Joe O'Donnell, 48, of Hyde Road, suffered serious head wounds in the early hours of Friday morning.

Gardaí Await DNA Tests On Murder Victim
Gardaí have said they are awaiting DNA tests to formally identify a man who was found murdered in his home at Glendhu Road, Cabra, over the weekend. According to reports, the man, 41, has been named locally, but due to the injuries he suffered in the assault, further tests are needed. A motive for the attack is still being investigated.

Teen In Court On Double Murder Charge
A 17-year-old boy is facing a second murder charge in connection with the killing of two Polish men in February. The teenager, who appeared at the Dublin Children’s Court today, cannot be named because he is a juvenile, and had been already charged with the murder of Pawel Kalite on Benbulben Road, Drimnagh, in Dublin, on February 23.
