Fatal Accident In Athlone
An 18-year-old man - who was the sole occupant of a car that went out of control and collided with a ditch on Saturday - was killed in the accident.
Gardaí at Athlone are investigating the single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 10am, off the N61 at Curraghboy Road, Athlone, Co. Roscommon.
The victim's body was removed to Roscommon County Hospital.
Meanwhile, Gardaí at Harcourt Terrace in Dublin have renewed as appeal for witnesses to the previous Sunday's fatal road traffic collision on Fitzwilliam Square East.
Investigating Gardaí believe that an off duty doctor was present and assisted the advanced paramedics at the scene.

The victim was a 67 year-old male pedal cyclist who received fatal injuries when he was struck by a Dublin Bus. He was taken to St James's Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.

A driver has been killed after her car was in collision with an articulated truck. Gardaí are investigating the fatal road traffic collision on the N24 about 2km from Kilsheelan in Coounty Tipperary, at about 9.50pm yesterday. The woman, who is in her 20s, was killed when the car she was driving was in collision with an articulated truck.
