Ex-Christian Brother Trial Adjourned

The trial of an ex-Christian Brother charged with sexually abusing six boys in a Galway school in the sixties and seventies has been adjourned until next Tuesday.

The 72-year-old man pleaded not guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to 35 counts of indecently assaulting the boys between 1967 and 1973.

Judge Tony Hunt has asked the jury to return on Tuesday.

Aer Lingus Talks Adjourned
Talks between management and cabin crew at Aer Lingus have been adjourned until Thursday. The Labour Relations Commission have been hosting talks between the two sides, in a dispute concerning rosters and the threatened closure of the cabin crew base at Shannon. According to reports, the talks, which ended late last night, have made some progress.
