Armed Men Rob Post Office

Gardaí at Raheny have launched and investigation into the robbery of the post office in Kilbarrack on Tuesday morning.

Two men entered the premises and made demands for money. One was armed with what is believed to be a handgun and the other with a knife and a hammer.

There were two members of staff and two customers in the post office at the time.

A Gardaí spokesman said there were no shots fired and no persons were injured.

The culprits got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and made their getaway in a 96 D registered Nissan 100x, which was located a short time later, abandoned on Beechbrook Grove.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
