Drug Seizure Leads to Three Arrests

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested three people following a significant heroin seizure in the west of the city on Tuesday night.

Five kilos of the drug with a potential street value of around €1m were seized during a raid on a premises in the Westbourne Green area of Clondalkin just after 10pm.

Two men and a woman are being questioned in connection with the haul.

A garda spokesman said: "During the course of the search five kilos of heroin with an approximate value of 1 million euro, pending analysis, and a quantity of cash was seized.

"Two men and one woman have been arrested and are currently detained in Ballyfermot Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act."

According to the spokesman the men were in their 30s and 50s, while the woman was in her 30s.

Three men have been arrested after a drug seizure at Carraigans, County Donegal yesterday evening. According to a Gardaí spokesman this morning, at approximately 5.00pm yesterday, Garda from Letterkenny carried out a search of a house in the Carraigans area.

Two Arrested Following Supermarket Raid
Two men have been arrested following a raid at a supermarket in the Clarehall area in Dublin last night. At around 10.30pm, two men armed with a knife entered the premises on the Malahide Road and threatened two members of staff, before tying them up and attacking them. The pair then left the scene with a sum of cash.
