Gardaí Appeal For Witness To Assault
Gardai are seeking witnesses to an alleged assault in Dublin, which took place in the early hours of Tuesday night.
It is alleged that a female was assaulted by a male in his 30s at around 3.00am in the Hawkins Street area. The alleged victim told gardaí two African males came to her assistance and chased the attacker down Hawkins St towards Burgh Quay.
Gardai at Pearse Street would like to appeal to anyone who was in the Hawkins Street area around 3.00am on the night, and in particular the two African males who chased the attacker away.
They would also like to speak to anyone who saw two females sitting on the footpath on Hawkins Street opposite Chaplin Pub and beside the old screen cinema to contact them at 01- 6669000.

Witness Appeal Following Serious Assault In Carrick-On-Shannon
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following the serious assault of a 30-year-old in Carrick on Shannon on Sunday, 17 July. Just before 4am Gardaí received a report that a male had been assaulted and was lying on the Main Street in Carrick on Shannon. When Gardaí arrived at the scene they found an unresponsive male lying on the road.
