Gardaí Investigate Bizarre Double Shooting
Gardaí are investigating a bizarre incident in Dublin were a victim of a shotgun assault turned the weapon on his attacker.
Both men, aged 46 and 52, were injured in the incident by the same weapon at a house in Corduff Place in Blanchardstown on Saturday.
It is believed the first man went to the house and shot his victim who then snapped the weapon from him and returned fire, shooting him in the stomach.
The two men, both from the area, were rushed to James Connolly Memorial Hospital after distraught neighbours alerted the emergency services. The men are said to have non-life threatening injuries.
A Garda spokesman said they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the attack.
Gardaí are waiting for both men to recover sufficiently to face questions on how events unfolded.

Three Arrested In Cork Shooting Investigation
Gardaí in Cork have arrested three men in connection with a shooting in the city on Monday night. According to gardaí a man aged in his 20s was shot a number of times by a man on a motorbike. Gardai Investigate Hammer Attack
An investigation has been launched by Cork garda following an attack on a 20-year-old man. The man was stabbed in the arm and hit on the head with a hammer in the late night attack, which took place in the Mardyke area of the city near University College Cork at about 10.30pm on Friday.

Man Arrested In Neil Fitzgerald Murder Investigation
A man in his 20s has been arrested by Gardaí investigating the murder of Neil Fitzgerald. Mr Fitzgerald (36) was found dead at Hills Lane in Tallaght, Dublin, on Sunday, 05 June. Gardaí made the arrest on Wednesday. It is the third arrest made as part of their ongoing investigation. The other two men remain in custody.
