Man Arrested In Connection With Hit And Run
A man has been arrested by polioce officers investigating an alleged 'hit and run' accident in Terenure outside Dublin.
A pedal cyclist was seriously injuried in the incident and is recovering in St James's hospital.
The collision occurred when the cyclist travelling on the Templeogue Road at 1.45am on Thursday morning was hit from behind by an unknown vehicle that failed to stop.
Gardaí at Terenure investigating the incident have since arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with the incident.
Since the arrest, Gardaí have quashed their appeal for information from the public.
In an other traffic incident, Gardaí at Mallow are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred shortly before 8.00am on Thursday morning at Castlecor, Mallow, Co. Cork.
A 36-year-old male motorcyclist was fatally injured when the bike he was riding was in collision with a jeep.
The injured man was taken to Cork University Hospital where he died of his injuries this evening.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Arrested Over €400,000 Cannabis Find
Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.

Four Charged In Connection With Post Office Robbery
Four people have appeared in court charged in connection with a post office robbery in Clogherhead, Co Louth. Three men, one armed with a firearm, entered a post office and threatened staff on 03 May. The suspects fled the scene with a large amount of cash.

Garda Granted More Time To Question Limerick MC Murder Suspects
Gardaí investigating the murder of a man outside a motorcycle club in Limerick, have been granted more time to question three men. A special sitting of Limerick District Court granted garda more time to question a 27-year-old man and two me aged in their 40s, arrested on Saturday in connection with the murder.

Gardaí investigating a shooting incident outside a west Dublin school have made an arrest. A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested during the course of the search operation in Corduff. He has been detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, where he can be held for up to 72 hours.
