Donegal Drugs Haul: Woman Held
Police have revealed that significant quantities of cannabis and cannabis herb were recovered in three separate searches in the Raphoe and Letterkenny areas of Co Donegal overnight - and one arrest made.
Gardai in Letterkenny have confirmed that a woman has been detained for questioning following a number of drugs seizures overnight.
Gardai confirmed that the 41-year-old woman was detained for questioning following a search of a house in the Raphoe area last night.
During the search cannabis with a street value of one thousand euro was discovered.
In a follow up operation, herbal cannabis with a street value of approximately €700 was recovered in a vehicle at a checkpoint in the Ballyraine, also in the Letterkenny vicinity.
Another search in the Churchill area led to the discovery of approximately €400 worth of herbal cannabis.
Officers said that the seizures were part of ongoing operations involving the Letterkenny Drugs Unit alongside local Gardai detectives.

Gardai have seized herbal cannabis following a raid on a house in Wexford. It is estimated to have a street value of €45,000. A number of plants were found during the search of a property in Lee Heights on Thursday. No arrests were made and investigations are continuing.

A 34 year-old woman is due in court following the discovery of cannabis worth €75,000 in Athlone. The suspect is detained at Athlone Garda Station. She will appear before Athlone District Court today, Monday 20 January.

Two Remanded Over Donegal Drugs Seizure
A father and son from Co. Armagh have appeared in court in Co Donegal, charged in connection with the seizure of cannabis worth an estimated €500,000. Kieran Smyth senior, 47, and his son Kieran Smyth junior, 24, appeared in court in Donegal yesterday. Both were remanded in custody.

Gardaí Seize €5.3m Worth Of Drugs In Co Meath
Up to €5.3 million worth of drugs have been seized following a search operation in Co Meath. As part of a planned operation by Gardaí from Meath Divisional Drugs Unit, officers carried out the search at a property in Clinstown, Stamullen at 2.45pm on Thursday, 29 June.

Men Arrested Over Santry Cannabis Seizure
Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized from a home in Larchill, Santry in Dublin, on Saturday. Gardaí arrested four men in connection with the find. They are due to appear in court on Monday.
