Howth Death Probed
Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in her 40s who was initially discovered with serious injuries at a house in Howth.
The shock discovery was made at approximately 10am this morning. According to RTE, gardaí were called to the house following reports that a violent robbery was underway.
On arrival they discovered a woman lying seriously injured on the back patio of her home
The woman was taken to Beaumont Hospital where death was pronounced shortly before 11am.
The scene was preserved for the State Pathologist and the Garda Technical Bureau to examine the get involved this afternoon.
An incident room has also been set up at Clontarf Garda Station and anyone with information to offer is asked to contact 01 6664833.

Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car In Dublin
An elderly woman who was hit by a car in Dublin has died in hospital. The incident occurred on the Navan Road at around 8.15am on Sunday, 04 September. An investigation has been launched into the death of a woman in Killygordon, Co Donegal. The body of a woman, aged in her 20s, was discovered at a house in the town in the early hours of this morning, Friday, 04 January. A post-mortem is due to be carried out which will determine the course of the investigation, garda have said.

Two Arrested Over Aidan Myers Murder
Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Aidan Myers, gardaí have confirmed. Mr Myers, 37, was killed by a gang who had attempted to hijack the car in which he was a passenger in Faughart, Co. Louth on December 12, 2006. He died after being attacked by a machete.
