Teen Killed In Road Crash
A teenage male has died following a road crash in Co Meath.
The 17 year-old male died in the single vehicle collision, which occurred on the Oldcastle to Loughcrew road late Monday night at approximately 11.30pm.
The accident happened on the stretch of road just off the R154. The road is single carriageway throughout and many parts of the route are known locally for their dangerous bends.
The teenager was the driver and sole occupant of the car. Gardaí believe the vehicle went out of control and collided with a wall.
He was taken to Navan General Hospital and subsequently died of his injuries in the hospital yesterday afternoon.

Woman, 82, Dies In Road Accident
An 82-year-old woman has died following a road accident in Donegal. The crash occurred at around 3.50pm on Monday (18 August) at The Ross in Bundoran. The man’s body has been removed to Kilkenny hospital. His name has not yet been released. Gardaí are investigating the incident.

Two people have died as a result of road collisions on Ireland's road's yesterday evening. In the latest incident, a young man was killed when his car smashed into a tree in his hometown. Brian Kelly, 28, from Durrow, Co Laois, died in the crash on the N8 at Watercastle, Durrow, shortly before 10pm.

Road traffic accidents have claimed the lives of three people. A 77-year-old pedestrian struck by a bus on Sunday afternoon died in hospital. Yesterday, a 19-year-old man died following a crash on Saturday in Co. Kildare. The man was a bicyclist who was involved in a collision with a van at the front gates of Newbridge College.
