Arrested Made In Bray Fire Case
A man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with the tragic Bray fire in which two fire fighters were killed.
Gardaí investigating the fire in Bray, Co Wicklow arrested the man early this morning.
The man was arrested under the Non Fatal Offences Against the Persons Act, other wise known as endangerment, and is being held at Bray Garda Station.
The man is the third person to be questioned over the deaths. A woman was arrested in October and a man in his 40s was detained in September.
Both were released without charge.
The two fire fighters, Mark O'Shaughnessy, 26, and Brian Murray, 46, died tragically in September 2007 at the scene of a fire at a disused factory in the town when the roof collapsed.
An inquest into the men’s deaths opened in November last year at Dublin County Coroner's Court and was adjourned until this March to allow the garda inquiry into the deaths continue.

Fire Service Under Fire
The fire service North and South has come under major scrutiny after the deaths of three fire fighters in separate incidents. Sinn Féin has launched a cross-border campaign for radical reform of the fire service with a joint statement from Cllr Paddy Butcher on Limavady Borough Council in Co Londonderry and Cllr John Brady from Bray Town Council.

Dublin Fire Brigade Responds To 1,100 Calls On Halloween Night
Dublin Fire Brigade has revealed it responded to 1,100 emergency calls during Halloween night. On what is normally the service's busiest night of the year, there were also reports of attacks on fire crews while Dublin Bus was forced to withdraw its service in part of the city.

Mountjoy Prison Cell Fire
A fire broke out in a cell at Dublin's Mountjoy Prison on Thursday night, according to reports. It is understood that a prisoner had set fire to a cell. However, it is believed that prison staff and fire crews were able to contain the fire quickly. No-one was injured in the incident.

Man Arrested Over Fatal House Fire Released Without Charge
A man arrested in connection with a fatal house fire in Dublin has been released without charge. A 44-year-old man died in the blaze which happened at a property on Oakland's Terrace, Rathgar, at around 3am on Tuesday, 21 August. It is understood the man had escaped from the fire before returning inside and suffered critical injuries.
