Man Crushed By Car In Cork

A man has been killed after being crushed by a car he was attempting to push.

The male in his early 20's was fatally injured when the car he was pushing rolled and collided with him, pinning him against a wall.

He received serious injuries and was taken to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardai at Barrack Street in Cork are investigating the incident that occurred on Westbourne Park, Cork shortly before 5.00pm yesterday.

Gardaí believe there was no one else in the car and no other vehicle was involved.

A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Body Found In Burning Car In North Cork
Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a man's body in a burning car in north Cork. The body was uncovered inside the car, which was on fire in an isolated woodland area between Fermoy and Ballyhooly. Gardaí are investigating the circumstances of the man's death but have said the case is currently not being treated as suspicious.

A west Cork man reported missing on Monday night has been found "safe and well". Bantry Gardaí launched a search operation, assisted by the Coast Guard Helicopter and local coast guard units.

Manhunt After Two Stabbed In Cork
Gardaí have launched a manhunt after two people were stabbed at Cork University Hospital. According to reports, it is thought the two men got into a fight with a third man on the ground of the hospital earlier today (23 October). The victims are receiving treatment at the scene, but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
