Third Man Arrested In Family Home Raid Investigation
A third man has been arrested in relation to the armed raid at a house in Turloughmore in Galway on Sunday night.
During the incident, a couple and three of their four children were tied up and held at gunpoint in their home.
The 42 year old man was arrested on his release from University College Hospital Galway shortly after 3pm yesterday, and is currently being detained at Mill Street Garda Station.
During the incident, a gang of men armed with a shotgun, a hatchet and other weapons, are believed to have launched a raid on the house in Lackagh in Turloughmore, about 15km from Galway city, just before 9.00pm on Sunday night.
The man, his wife and their four young children aged between one and seven, were in their home when the raiders forced their way in.
Gardai in Galway arrested two men in connection with incident on the night and both have been charged. They are 46 and 22 years of age.
The businessman and his family were not injured in the raid but were described as "deeply traumatised" by a spokesman for the Gardaí.

€60k Cocaine Seized In Co Cork Raid
Gardaí in Co Cork have seized over €60,000 worth of suspected cocaine and a suspected imitation firearm. The drugs were discovered at a house in the Newmarket area on Thursday night, 12 September. No arrests have been made as yet. An investigation is ongoing and all items will be sent for analysis.

Missing Galway Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Gardaí in Galway have reported that John Moyles has been found "safe and well". The 23-year-old, from the Rahoon area of Galway, was reported missing on Sunday. It is understood that he was found in the Dublin area. Garda have thanked the public for their help.

Woman Arrested Over Kerry Post Office Raid
A woman has been arrested in connection with an armed raid at a post office in Co Kerry. The suspect was arrested at around 5.30pm in Killarney on Thursday, 04 August. A sum of cash was stolen from Waterville Post Office at around 11am on Wednesday, 03 August. Two men were arrested in the area after the incident.

Suspect Released Following Drugs Raid
Heroin, cannabis and amphetamine worth an estimated €40,000 has been seized by gardaí during a search of a house in Thurles. Two arrests were made during the search, a woman in her 20s, who has since been released, and a man in his 30s, who remains in custody.
