Car Search Recovers Over Kilo Of Heroin
A quantity of heroin has been found after a search on a vehicle in Dublin.
The search was part of an "intelligence led operation" according to Gardaí from Kevin Street’s Detective and Drug Unit.
The car search followed an investigation of an apartment in the Adamstown area of Lucan, Co. Dublin.
A car belonging to the apartment's resident was seized and taken to Kevin Street for a technical examination carried out this morning, during which one and a quarter kgs of heroin were discovered.
The substance, depending on a forensic analysis, is believed to have a potential street value of €250,000.
A spokesman for Gardaí added that certain paraphernalia associated with drug dealing were also seized from the apartment.
No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.

Man Arrested Over €1.4m Heroin Seizure
A man has been arrested after heroin, worth a street value of approximately €1.4 million, was seized in Dublin. The drugs were discovered by gardai during a planned search of premises on Wednesday, 01 June. Cannabis, worth an estimated street value of €10,000, was also seized. The suspect is being detained at Kevin Street Garda Station.

Gardaí Seized Drugs Worth Estimated €5m
Gardaí in Dublin have seized drugs worth an estimated €5m. The Clondalkin Detective and Drugs Units uncovered heroin and cocaine during a search of premises at the Bluebell Industrial Estate on Tuesday. Gardaí said they seized 32.5kg of suspected heroin and half a kilogram of suspected cocaine. The drugs are still to be forensically tested.

Two Arrested After Street Search Uncovers Heroin
Two men were arrested following a stop and search in Dublin city centre that uncovered heroin worth an estimated €20,000. Gardaí stopped the men on Store Street and uncovered the drugs. Gardaí said the arrests are part of an ongoing intelligence led operation targeting the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the north inner city.

Three Further Arrests Over Inchicore Murder
Gardai have made three further arrests in relation to the murder David Byrne on the 19th March 2011. Three males all aged in their late teens were arrested this morning and are currently detained at Garda Stations in the south inner city.
