Three Killed In Separate Traffic Collisions
A total of three people have died in separate road collisions since Friday.
A male driver of the car in his 40s was fatally injured following a collision between a van and a car. The male driver of the van received serious injuries, and there were no other passengers in either vehicle.
Gardai at Portlaoise are investigating the collision, which occurred on the N80 at Moneyquid, Killy, Mountmellick, Co. Laois at approximately 7.45am on Monday morning.
The scene of the collision is closed pending a Garda collision forensic examination.
In a second incident, Gardai at Sligo are investigating a fatal collision, which occurred at approximately 12.32am on Monday morning.
A 60-year-old woman was fatally injured when the car she was driving left the road and entered a river on the old Ballisodore Road at Carrowgubbdha, Co Sligo. She was the only occupant in the car.
The scene is also currently closed pending an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
In another tragic incident on Friday, a car left the road at Ballinphuill, Castlerea, Co Roscommon and collided with a tree.
The 21 year female driver received minor injuries, however her 7-month-old daughter received serious injuries and died at Temple Street hospital on Sunday night.
The crash occurred on Friday at approximately 11.30pm. No other persons were involved.

John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

Man Dies In Blarney Road Crash
A man has been killed in a two vehicle road crash that occurred between Parkanna Cross Rd and Davis Cross on the Blarney to Bweeng Road at approximately 11.30am on Tuesday. The man in his 20's was fatally injured when his car collided with a lorry. He was the sole occupant of the car and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
