Two Killed In Cork Crash
Two male drivers have been killed following a road collision in Co Cork in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí at Mallow are investigating fatal traffic collision that occurred at approximately 1am on the N20 at Pikes Cross, Ballyhea, Charleville.
The male drivers of both cars were killed in the collision and their bodies have been removed to Cork University Hospital.
They were aged 60 years and 36 years.
A female passanger in one car and a male passanger in the other received serious injuries.
The female was taken to Mallow General Hospital and the male has gone to Cork University Hospital.
The road is closed at present and as it is the main Cork to Limerick road there are traffic implications so motorists are advised to use an alternative route if possible.
Forensic crash scene investigators are now at the scene and diversions are in place.
Witnesses to this collision are asked to contact Gardaí at Macroom on 022 31450.
In the North, a 16-year-old youth has died in a Belfast road accident.
The car he was driving crashed into another car on the Crumlin Road around 12.30pm on Sunday.
In a separate incident there has been a serious crash on the Upper Malone Road in south Belfast.
The road was closed after the two-vehicle collision close to the entrance of Lady Dixon Park on Monday morning.
One person has been taken to hospital with multiple fractures.

Four Killed On Irish Roads This Weekend
A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.

Witness Appeal Following Fatal Road Traffic Collision In Co Longford
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Co Longford on Sunday, 17 July. An 18-year-old male was fatally injured when the car he was travelling in, as a front seat passenger, collided with a tractor at approximately 11.50pm in Cloonart, Bornacoola. The man was pronounced dead at Mullingar Hospital.
