Four 'Tied-Up' In Major Operation
A major operation has been put in place to tackle organsied crime with four men detained this morning.
It is part of a joint Gardái/Customs Operation - codenamed Operation Tie - and being coordinated by the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB), National Support Services and the Dublin Metropolitan Regional Traffic Department.
Between 6 and 9am this morning officers engaged in Operation TIE searched a total of 30 premises, which included private houses, business premises and professional offices.
A quantity of documentation was seized during the course of these searches, along with a number of vehicles and a 9mm handgun.
While searches took place throughout the city, the bulk were concentrated on locations in the Dublin 12/Naas Road area.
Gardái said today that this investigation - which commenced in 2007 - involves investigations into criminal activity, primarily revenue irregularities and profits from criminal activity.
The four men arrested are to appear before Tallaght District Court this morning.

35 Arrests Made In Four-Day Operation Thor Investigation
Gardaí have made 35 arrests during a four-day operation aimed at preventing crime, disrupting criminal activity and enhancing community engagement in the Kilkenny-Carlow Division. Firearm Seized And Two Arrested
Two men have been arrested and a firearm seized in a garda operation targeting criminal activity in south west Dublin. A garda spokesman said a car was stopped on the N81 in Tallaght at about 22:00 on Monday night and a handgun was recovered. Two men, aged 16 and 21, were arrested at the scene. Gardaí said that the investigation was "ongoing".

Garda Arrest Man For Possessing Firearms
A man in his 20's has been arrested after firearms were found at a house in Darndale, Coolock. As part of a planned operation Gardai searched a house at Tulip Court on Thursday at around 17.15. Three firearms and a small amount of cannabis was discovered.

Searches Launched Across Limerick City
Up to 20 searches are being carried out across Limerick City this morning, 26 April, as part of an operation targeting criminal activity. Gardaí launched the operation in the early hours of Tuesday morning and the operation is ongoing. One man, aged in his 20s, has been arrested under the provisions of Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Three men have been arrested in Co Waterford as part of Operation Thor, an ongoing national anti-crime initiative. The men were arrested on Thursday evening when garda stopped a car in Tramore. They are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Tramore and Waterford Garda Stations.
