Publican's Body Found
The body of a public house owner in Co Offaly has been discovered in suspicious circumstances.
Officers are investigating after the discovery of the man who was in his 60s at 7.30am on Wednesday.
The body was discovered by a member of the man's family, at a public house owned by the dead man in Daingean, Co.Offaly.
The dead man lived on the premises.
The scene is preserved for technical examination by the Garda Technical Bureau and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
Early reports suggest the death is being treated as suspicious.

Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.

Gardaí have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body in an apartment in Galway City. It is understood that the man's body was found by his flatmate on Monday. According to reports, the dead man is believed to be a 23-year-old from Tullamore in Co Offaly who was studying in Galway City.

An investigation is underway following the discovery of a body in Galway city this morning. It is understood that the body of a 40-year-old local man was found at around 07:30 on Wednesday morning on Shop St. Gardaí have said that they do not believe the death to be suspicious.

An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man's body at a house in Nenagh, Co Tipperary. Gardaí said the body is of a 36-year-old man. He was found at a house on McDonagh Street at about 18:00 on Thursday.

Investigation Launched Following Suspicious Fire In Co Offaly
Gardai have launched an investigation following a suspicious fire at a house in Rhode, Co. Offaly on Monday. The incident occurred between 11.30pm on Sunday and 1.50am on Monday. A 24-year-old man sustained serious injuries and has been transferred to St James Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
