Work To Begin On South Dublin LUAS Line

Work is to begin on the LUAS track extension in the Dún Laoghaire Rathdown area.

The county council has said the junctions of Ballyogan Avenue East and Ballyogan Road and Glencairn Crescent/Ballyogan Road will be closed to facilitate the work.

Installation works are part of the proposed extension of the green line from Sandyford to Cherrywood.

The dates of the proposed closures are from Tuesday 22 April to Saturday 6 June for the junction of Ballyogan Avenue East and Ballyogan Road, and from Monday 27 April to Saturday 6 June for the junction of Glencairn Crescent and Ballyogan Road - both dates inclusive.

Local Access will be maintained at all times, a council spokesman said.

Dublin Bus Service to Ballyogan Estate will be maintained via Ballyogan Avenue West.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and alternative access routes will be signposted.
