Appeal For Witnesses After Traffic Collision
An appeal for witnesses has been launched after a fatal traffic collision in Galway.
Gardaí at Tuam have launched the appeal as part of an ongoing investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R362 at Lissyconnor, which is the main Dunmore to Glenamaddy Road.
After the incident a 29-year-old male driver and sole occupant of a vehicle was taken to Roscommon County Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The road had been closed off to motorists in order to allow an investigation of the immediate area. The road has since re-opened.
Officers are appealling to any member of the public who travelled on the road between 5am to 6.20am on Monday. Witnesses are asked to contact the Gardai in Tuam at 093-70840 or any Garda Station.

Four Men Dead In Separate Collisions
A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Co Longford on Sunday, 17 July. An 18-year-old male was fatally injured when the car he was travelling in, as a front seat passenger, collided with a tractor at approximately 11.50pm in Cloonart, Bornacoola. The man was pronounced dead at Mullingar Hospital.
