Female Teen Killed After Losing Control Of Car
An 18-year-old woman has been killed after crashing her car in Galway.
The young woman who was the only occupant of the car was fatally injured when she lost control and her vehicle left the road.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to University Hospital Galway.
Gardai at Clifden, Co Galway are investigating incident, which occurred at Coill Saile on the Kilkieran to Rosmuc Road at approximately 9.25pm last night.
The road is currently closed pending a Garda Forensic Collision Investigation.
Meanwhile, according to AA Road Watch, the N13 Letterkenny to Derry Road is closed after a crash approximately 2km along the Letterkenny road out of Newtown Cunningham. Diversions are currently in place.
In Waterford a bridge lift is scheduled for 3pm today and drivers are being told to expect delays in the area. So far traffic is moving well, but ongoing works are in place on the N25 Waterford New Ross Rd at Ferrybank, which could affect diversions later.

Weekend Road Collisions Claim Two
Gardaí in Shannon are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred around 5am on Saturday morning. The 36-year-old female driver and sole occupant of a car was pronounced dead at scene when her car left the road and collided with a tree on the northbound carriageway of the N18 at Hurler's Cross, between exits 6 and 7.

Man Dies In Overnight Road Crash
A man has died when his car collided with a van on the Rathbeale road in Swords, Dublin, around 02.30am on Wednesday morning. The man in his 40s was a passenger in the van. He died at the scene. The driver of the van and a second passenger are being treated in hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal road accident in Dublin on Friday night. A woman, 40, died when she was hit by a car on the Davitt Road, which fled from the scene. The car, believed to be a Ford Focus, has not been found. Gardai believe the car would have been damaged at the front and the windscreen.
