Three Arrested Over Bank Robbery
Three men have been arrested in connection with the robbery of the Bank of Ireland in February, and a gun offence on the previous day.
All three men are aged in their 20s and 30s, and were arrested on Tuesday morning in Dublin.
Gardai investigating the armed incident, which occurred in the Badgers Hill area of Kilteel, Co. Kildare on February 26 and the subsequent robbery of €7.6million on February 27 from the Bank of Ireland, College Green, Dublin, made the arrests as part of an operation in the capital. A number of searches took place and three men were subsequently arrested.
During the bank robbery a gang forced their way into the home of bank worker Shane Travers in the early hours of 27 February and forced him to go to the bank and take the cash as they held his family hostage as part of what is known as 'Tiger Kidnapping'.
His family was later released in the Ashbourne area in Co Meath.
The men are currently detained in Harcourt Street, Pearse St1reet & Store Street Garda stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Men Arrested Over Santry Cannabis Seizure
Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized from a home in Larchill, Santry in Dublin, on Saturday. Gardaí arrested four men in connection with the find. They are due to appear in court on Monday.

Men Arrested Over €1m Cocaine And Heroin Find
Heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of €1m, has been recovered in a house search in Ballyfermot on Tuesday. Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s, at the scene after officers uncovered 13kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €900,000 and 1.5kgs of heroin, with an estimated value of €225,000.

Tiger Robbery Suspects 'Still Held'
It has emerged today that two of the five men arrested for questioning over the robbery on the AIB in Clondalkin, west Dublin and in Kildare on Saturday are still being questioned. They are being quizzed in connection with the robbery of almost €300,000 and abduction of a bank manager's wife last Thursday.
