Dublin Teen Arrested During Bomb Search

An 18-year-old male has been arrested in north Dublin following a search by army bomb experts.

Officers from the disposal team had been called to a home at Buttercup Road in Darndale last night.

They failed to find a viable device, but did discover component parts of a potential device.

Gardaí arrested a man and recovered a small quantity of drugs.

A further search is due to be carried out today, and the scene remains sealed-off.

Meanwhile, during a separate incident last night, a device was thrown at a house in Edenmore park in Raheny.

Damage was caused to the front window of the home after the device exploded.

A number of people were in the house at the time but no-one was injured.
