Toddler Killed In Tragic Collision

A three-year-old girl has been killed during a tragic accident in Malahide on Monday afternoon.

The young girl, who was walking in the area was fatally injured when she was hit by a red Nissan Primera Car.

She died in hospital as a result of her injuries on Tuesday.

Gardai in the area are investigating the collision, which occurred on Seabury Lane in Malahide at approximately 12.45pm.

Gardai have appealed for witnesses to the incident to contact them at Malahide Garda Station, 01-6664600 or the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111.

In other traffic news, the Carrickerry to Athea Road in Limerick is closed until 4pm between the Knockfinnisk junction and Carrickerry Village, usually a very busy route. The closure is in order to remove an overturned truck and motorists are advised to use the N21 Limerick to Castleisland Road in County Kerry.

A man arrested by Gardai in connection with a fatal stabbing on the Malahide Road in Dublin has been released without charge. The man, in his early 40s, was released yesterday afternoon. Arrest Over Dublin Cocaine Seizure
A man has been arrested after Gardaí seized cocaine with an estimated street value of €280,000 in Dublin on Thursday night. Gardaí found 4kg of the drug when they stopped a car on the Malahide Road shortly before 6:30pm yesterday evening. A man in his 30s has been arrested and is being held at Raheny Garda Station.

Armed Robbery At Malahide
Gardai in Malahide are investigation an armed robbery at an off-license, and are appealing for witnesses. The incident occured at 2.20am on Sunday morning, at an address on St. Margaret's Avenue, Malahide. Two members of staff of an off-license in Malahide were held at gunpoint in their car as they were on their way to make a bank lodgement.
