Man Stabbed To Death In Galway
A man in his 20s has been found stabbed to death in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí on patrol in the area found the man lying critically injured on the pavement. He was brought to University Hospital, but was pronounced dead at 3am.
Superintendent Tom Curley, who is heading the investigation, said the man had earlier been in the nearby Karma nightclub.
There were about 150 people in the club and gardaí are now hoping to interview all of these to try to establish the sequence of events which led up to the fatal stabbing.
The scene, at the Williamsgate Street pedestrian area, has been sealed off pending a full Garda technical examination, and the State Pathologist has been notified.
Gardaí have launched an appeal for anyone with information to offer in relation to the incident to contact Galway Garda Station 091 538000, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.

Man Questioned Over Dublin Stabbing
A man is being questioned after a man was found stabbed to death at a house in Co Dublin. Michael Gannon, 55, was attacked in his daughter's home at Mourne Park, Skerries, on Thursday evening. It is understood he was babysitting his two grandchildren at the time. The attack happened shortly before 6pm.

70-Year-Old Man Arrested Over Fatal Accident That Killed Cyclist
A 70-year-old man has been arrested by gardaí investigating a fatal road traffic accident in Gneeveguilla, Co Kerry. A cyclist was fatally injured when hit by a car in Scrahanfadda, on Sunday, 01 July. The elderly man is being detained at Bandon Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4- Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Girl Arrested As McAnaspie Case Continues

Missing 25-Year-Old Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A 25-year-old man who was missing from Harcourt Street in Dublin has been found safe and well, Gardaí have reported. Simon Quinn was reported missing after last being seen at around 2.30am on Monday, 30 July. However, Mr Quinn has now been found and Gardaí said they wish to thank the media and public for their assistance.

A missing 24-year-old man has been found "safe and well". Alex Sherwin had been reported missing on Sunday, with garda issuing a public appeal for assistance. No information on Mr Sherwin's whereabouts have been released, but garda said the investigation had now ended. They thanked the public for their help.
