Further Arrests In Jeffery Hannon Case
A further four people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Jeffery Hannon in 2007.
Gardai investigating the murder of the 19-year-old Jeffery Hannon at Southill in Limerick during November 2007, say they have this morning arrested four people in the Limerick area.
There are two males and two females ranging in age from late teens to late 30's now in Gardaí custody and are being questioned by detectives.
All four are currently detained under the Offences Against the State Act. Three are being detained at Roxboro Road Garda Station and one is being held at Henry Street Garda Station.
The body of Jeffrey Hannon was found with head injuries on a green area near his home in Galtee Drive in O'Malley Park in Southill in November 2007. It is suspected he was beaten to death.
Mr Hannon was last seen alive on the night of the 21st of on November 2007 as he attended a bonfire. He was found dead in the early hours by a passer-by only a hundred yards from his Galtee Drive home.
At the time of the murder Gardai had said it was one of the most vicious they had seen in Limerick. No weapon was ever recovered however a post mortem concluded the young man died from "serious head injuries" inflicted with "a heavy, sharp instrument".
The four detained bring the total number arrested in connection with the murder to 13.

Woman Held Over Hannon Murder
A female in her late 30’s has been arrested in Limerick city as part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of Jeffery Hannon. Jeffery Hannon, 19, from Southill, was found dead in the O'Malley Park estate in November 2007. He had suffered head injuries and a number of injuries to his body.

Ninth Arrest Over Limerick Murder
Another arrest has been made in connection with the murder of Jeffery Hannon. Gardai at Roxboro Road Garda station investigating the murder of, father of two, Jeffrey Hannon last night arrested a male in his late teens in the midlands area. He is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice at Roxboro Road Garda Station.

Four Arrests Over Mark Desmond Murder
Four men have been arrested by garda investigating the murder of Mark Desmond on the 02 December 2016. Two men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested in the Clondalkin and Lucan areas on Tuesday, 13 June. Two other men, both aged in their 20s, were also arrested in the Lucan area.
