Road Accidents Leave Two Dead
A young father of three and another man have been killed in separate road traffic accidents over the weekend.
The tragic dad was critically injured in an horrific road crash on the outskirts of Limerick city on Friday.
The man, named locally as Nigel Bucke, 29, from Dromcollogher, Co Limerick, was the driver of a silver Volkswagen Passat which collided with an articulated truck on the Condell Road shortly before 10am.
Mr Bucke was immediately rushed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital where he was treated at the Intensive Care Unit before he died from his injuries on Saturday night.
His three children, aged from two to 11, were treated for minor injuries.
Meanwhile, Dabhog Kierse, 22, from Crookstown, Macroom, Co Cork, was killed after the car he was driving collided with two others on the N22 at Slivereagh, Ballyvourney, Co Cork, at 9am on Saturday.
The car he was driving was broken in two in the collision. A second man was taken to Cork University Hospital with injuries but they are not life-threatening.

Man Killed In Fatal Road Accident In Co Cork
Gardaí in Co Cork have reported the death of a 25-year-old man in a road accident. It is understood the man was fatally injured when his tractor struck a ditch shortly after midnight on the Glanworth to String Cross Road at Glanworth, Co. Cork. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Coroner and the Health and Safety Authority have been notified.

Gardaí have reported that a 47-year-old man has died in a single vehicle road crash near Charleville, Co Cork. The crash happened at around 21:30 last night in Boulard. It is believed that the vehicle struck a tree before hitting a ditch. The victim was pronounced dead the scene. No other vehicles were involved.

The man was killed when his car left the road and hit a ditch sometime between 12:30 and 03:20 on Tuesday morning, in Youghal. His body was taken to Cork University Hospital and a forensic examination of the crash site is underway. Diversions are in place.
