Crash Kills Two In Limerick
The couple who died in an horrific crash involving a SUV and a van in Co Limerick have been named.
Maurice and Margaret Hartnett, aged 61 and 59, were from Ballingarry in the county and had been travelling in the van.
Gardaí in Askeaton in Limerick are investigating the two vehicle collision, which occurred at approximately 5.45pm on Wednesday evening on the main Askeaton to Rathkeale Road, approximately two miles outside of Askeaton.
The couple were very badly injured when the van in which they were travelling was involved in a collision with a 4-wheel drive SUV.
Both were subsequently pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
One of the two male occupants in the other vehicle was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have been travelling in the area at the time and have any information to contact Gardai at Askeaton on 061-601630 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111.

Man Dies In Limerick Collision
A man has died in a crash in Co Limerick. The car veered off the road and hit a ditch at Dromsallagh at around 4.15am on Sunday, 05 June. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man is currently being treated for his injuries at the University Hospital Limerick. The road has been re-opened.

Elderly Couple Killed In Road Collision
An elderly couple have been killed after a road traffic collision in Co Limerick. The two deaths bring the number of fatalities on the nation's roads to 129 for this year alone. The crash took place at 1.30pm near a filling station at Coolanoran, between Newcastle West and Rathkeale on the main Limerick to Kerry road.

Warning Issued Over East Limerick Water Supply
Residents in parts of east Limerick are being warned against using their water for drinking, cooking or food preparation due to pollution concerns. The Sanitary Authority issued the warning due to the presence of high nitrates, saying the water should not be used until further notice, except for flushing toilets and internal house plumbing.

Human Remains Confirmed As Missing Limerick Woman
Human remains found in Galway Bay on 29 November have been confirmed as those of missing Limerick woman, Maria Hennigar. The 35-year-old was reported missing on 22 November, although she had not been seen earlier that month.
