Woman Killed After Collision With Truck
A driver has been killed after her car was in collision with an articulated truck.
Gardaí are investigating the fatal road traffic collision on the N24 about 2km from Kilsheelan in Coounty Tipperary, at about 9.50pm yesterday.
The woman, who is in her 20s, was killed when the car she was driving was in collision with an articulated truck. She was alone in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where a post mortem examination will be carried our today. The driver of the truck was not injured.
The road at the scene of the crash is expected to remain closed overnight and diversions will be in place. The road will be closed between Kilsheelan village and the Merck Sharp and Dohme.

The news of the young woman's death coincides with the death of two other women in their 20s over the weekend in separate incidents.
A 23-year-old female was fatally injured when she lost control of the car she was driving on Monday morning on the M51 at Curleyland, Athboy, Co Meath.
Meanwhile, in an earlier incident, a 25-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene of a fatal road traffic collision near Athenry, Co.Galway after a single car crash on the Athenry to Galway road at 11.15pm on Saturday.

Man Arrested In Connection With Fatal Road Collision
A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal road accident in Dublin on Friday night. A woman, 40, died when she was hit by a car on the Davitt Road, which fled from the scene. The car, believed to be a Ford Focus, has not been found. Gardai believe the car would have been damaged at the front and the windscreen.

Baby Boy Killed In Westmeath Collision
A 22-month-old boy has died at Temple Street Children's Hospital today after a traffic collision in Moate, County Westmeath on Saturday. The child was struck by a car in the Coillin Buí estate in the town at about 1.45pm and taken to Mullingar General Hospital. He was later transferred to Temple Street.

Woman Killed In Cavan Crash
A woman has been killed in a traffic collision in Co Cavan. It happened on Monday morning and saw the 64-year-old woman fatally injured when the car she was driving lost control and overturned into a deep drain at the side of the road. She was the sole occupant of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning.
