Body Discovered In Phoenix Park
The body of a woman has been found in Pheonix Park in Dublin.
Gardaí at Cabra, Dublin are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of the female, which was found in a wooded area at Military Road, in the park, at approximately 3.30pm on Wednesday.
It is understood that the woman suffered a number of stab wounds.
A Garda Technical team are currently at the scene and the area remains sealed off. The State Pathologists office has been notified.
The victim was found in a wooded area where homeless people are known to sleep at night, but gardaí said this is just one line of enquiry at present.
In other news, police at Castlebar are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a Richard Livingston.
Richard is 29-years-old and was last seen on the night of Sunday 2nd August in Ballyheane, Castlebar, Co. Mayo.
He is described as being 5 foot 10 inches in height, of thin build, has red hair and speaks with a strong Scottish accent. He was last seen wearing dark clothes, a zip-up jacket and a white shirt.
Anyone with information on either case is asked to contact the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Body Found In Co Donegal
Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.

Arrested Over Kilrush Body Find
A man has been detained in connection with the discovery of a body in Co Clare. The body of the 27-year-old was found outside a house in Kilrush this morning. The victim was found shot dead in the garden of a house on O'Gorman Street at around 10.30am.

Missing Dylan Corcoran Found Safe And Well
Dylan Corcoran, 21, who went missing from is home Leixlip on Thursday, 03 September, has been found safe and well. Garda launched an appeal after he was last seen in the Rockfield Grove area, Maynooth. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a red hoodie with runners, and was carrying a black and red rucksack.

Three Arrested Over Cash Van Robbery
Three people have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery of a cash-in-transit van near Rathfarnham Shopping Centre in Dublin this afternoon. A cash box containing an undisclosed sum of money was taken during the robbery. A man armed with a gun approached a van on Butterfield Avenue, Rathfarnham, at 12.45pm and demanded the money.

Stabbing In Limerick
A man has been stabbed in Limerick. The 21-year-old was found, suffering from a stab wound to the stomach, in Clarina Park in Ballincurra Weston, just after 1am on Wednesday morning. Gardaí said that the man was critically wounded in the attack, but was taken to hospital where he is now reported to be in a stable condition.
