Eight Arrested In Dublin Drug Operations
A total of eight men have been arrested in a night of multi-million euro drug seizure operations in Dublin last night.
In the first of two operations yesterday evening, Gardaí arrested three males, one in his 20’s and two in their 30’s following a search of a business premises at the Greenogue Business Park, Rathcoole.
During the search, Gardaí discovered a huge stock of cannabis resin with an estimated street value of over 2 million euro, subject to analysis. All three are detained under the drug trafficking act at Clondalkin Garda Station.
In a separate operation, officers from the Organised Crime Unit arrested five males in their 20’s and seized 35 kilos of what is believed to be cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €420,000, also subject to analysis, at Airside Business park, Swords at approximately 6pm yesterday evening.
It has emerged that among those in custody is an accountant working for one of the major banks, however his full identity is yet to be revealed.
Of the other men, some are connected to one of the two feuding Crumlin-Drimnagh criminal gangs, believed to have paid in full for the drugs it has now lost.
The suspects are being detained under the drug trafficking act at Santry, Ballymun and Swords Garda Stations.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Two Arrested In Connection With Drug Seizures
Cocaine with an estimated street value of €70,000 has been seized and a man in his 20s were arrested on Monday afternoon by garda on Gardiner Street Lower in Dublin city centre. The drugs were found in the mans personal belongings when he was stopped by garda around 16:00 on Monday afternoon.

Police Target Drug Trade Across Ireland
Gardaí investigating the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Cork area have seized drugs with an estimated value of up to €590,000 and arrested a male following a planned operation on Monday. A similar operation took place along the border with the North as well.

200 Cannabis Plants Found In Co Kerry
Cannabis plants, with an estimated street value of €160,000, were discovered by gardai in Rathmore, Co Kerry, last night. Officers from the Kanturk Drug Unit carried out a planned search of a house near the town, uncovering some 200 plants at various stages of growth. The scene has been sealed and a technical examination is underway.

New Powers Allow For Roadside Drug Testing
The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Shane Ross has announced the commencement of the drug driving provisions in the Road Traffic Act 2016. One of the key measures in the legislation provides for Preliminary Drug Testing, which will enable Gardaí to test motorists whom they suspect of driving under the influence of drugs at the roadside.
