Tiger Kidnapping In Dublin
Details of a gang related so-called 'tiger-kidnapping' incident, which occurred in Dublin on Friday night, have emerged today.
Gardaí have revealed they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the unlawful detention of a female bank official and her husband, during which a sum of money was stolen from a Dublin bank.
The incident took place at approximately 9am, Friday morning when a female bank official and her husband were abducted by a criminal group at Dun Emer estate, Lusk, in the Capital.
The male was taken away in a white van, while the woman was believed to later withdraw a sum of money from a Bank of Ireland branch in Coolock Village.
Gardaí said that at approximately 11am the money was left it in a gold colored car at an agreed drop off point on Greenwood Ave, Coolock.
At approximately 2pm the male managed to free himself from the van at Carraigmore Estate, Citywest, South West Dublin. Officers said no physical injuries were sustained.
A major investigation has been launched into the incident with Gardaí from Coolock calling in the services of divisional units and members from the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
An Incident room has been set up at Coolock Garda Station.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Dun Emer estate Lusk, Coolock Village, Greenwood Ave., Coolock, or Carraigmore estate Citywest, between 8am and 2pm on Friday and noticed any suspicious activity, to contact them on 6664200, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

Appeal Launched After Dublin Murder
An appeal has been launched into the shooting of a man in Dublin on Saturday. The victim was a 27-year-old from the area and was shot after socializing in the Priorswood Inn in the Coolock area of Dublin city. Gardai investigating the murder are appealing to the public for assistance.

Dublin Gardaí are seeking a man in connection with shots fired at a house in the north of the city on Wednesday night. The incident occurred on Moatview Avenue in the Priorswood area of Coolock at about 9.40pm. Gardaí understand a lone gunman discharged at least two rounds from a shotgun before leaving the scene on foot.

Gardaí have appealed for information on a shooting incident at Belcamp Crescent in Coolock shortly before midnight on Wednesday 29 March. A 45-year-old man suffered an apparent gunshot wound to his leg when a man forced entry to his house and discharged a firearm.

A man has died following a hit-and-run incident in Dublin. The victim, named as 28-year-old Karl Robertson was out jogging when he was hit by a van on Hazlewood Drive in Artane at around 9.50pm on Wednesday night, 08 March. He was taken to hospital but has since died from his injuries.
