Westmeath Pharmacy 'Ramraid' Probed
Two suspects are being held as gardaí in Mullingar investigate a burglary at a pharmacy involving a car being driven into the building.
It happened in Oliver Plunkett Street in Mullingar at 2.15am this morning (Thursday) and saw officers later arresting two men aged 21 and 19.
The police had responded to a report that a car had been rammed into the building and arrived to discover four masked men attempting to flee the scene.
Gardaí pursued the men on foot and arrested two of them close to the scene.
The two men are being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Mullingar Garda Station.
A search is underway for the remaining men and the scene is currently being preserved for technical examination.
At the same time, gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident and have any information to contact Mullingar Garda station on 044-9384000.

Witnesses Sought To Cash-In-Transit Van Robbery
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a cash-in-transit robbery at La Touche Road, Bluebell, Dublin on Thursday afternoon. It is understood that at approximately 3:35pm, two men approached and threatened security staff as they were delivering cash to a Post Office. One of the robbers is believed to have been armed with a handgun.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a drug seizure in Co Westmeath. Gardai from the Westmeath Divisional Drug Unit stopped a car near Kinnegad at approximately 7:30pm on Wednesday. Heroin worth an estimated €45,000 was discovered during a search of the vehicle.

Gardai Appeal For Witnesses Following M4 Incident
Gardaí at Mullingar are investigating an incident which occurred on the M4, one km from Kinnegad on the eastbound lane at approximately 4pm yesterday, Monday 24th June. It appears from initial investigations that a car, believed to be a dark coloured Opel Zafira, caught fire. A man believed to be in his early 50s was found deceased in the car.
