Drug Hauls Recovered

As the result of an ongoing operation involving the Organised Crime team and Naas detective units, a house has been searched in the Robertstown area of Co Kildare.

The overnight operation was supported by the Garda National Drugs Unit and during the course of the search 15 kilos of heroin were seized.

The seizure, subject to forensic analysis, has a potential street value of in excess of €2 million.

Four men were arrested at the scene and another man was arrested during the course of a follow up search.

These men are being detained under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act at Naas, Newbridge, Kildare and Lucan Garda Stations.

Meanwhile, as the result of a joint Garda and Customs operation, 1.1 million tonnes of Cannabis resin was discovered at an industrial premises in Dunboyne, Co Meath yesterday as well.

This seizure, subject to a forensic analysis, has an estimated street value of €6.6 million.

A male in his 30s was arrested close to the scene and is presently being detained under section 2 of the Drug trafficking Act at Blanchardstown Garda Station and investigations into this discovery are continuing.

Man Arrested Over Cocaine And Ammunition Find
Gardaí in Co Louth have seized a quantity of cocaine and 9mm ammunition following the search of a car. Cocaine worth an estimated €50,000, and a small quantity of ammunition, was uncovered when garda searched the car at about 18:00 in Drogheda on Monday. Officers arrested a man in his 40s in connection with the find.

Three Held In Dublin Cocaine Seizure
Three men have been arrested following the seizure of cocaine in Dublin. It is understood that 3.5kg of the drug, worth an estimated 250,000 euros, was discovered in Rathmines after being imported in cargo from Peru through Dublin Airport on Thursday. According to reports, the drugs had been sent by courier from Peru.

Gardaí Arrest 45 In Major Drugs Operation
A total of 45 people have been arrested in the past 48 hours in Gardaí a crackdown on the sale and supply of heroin and “crack” cocaine in the Dublin region. The operation, which involved Garda drug units from Kevin Street, Pearse Street and Store Street stations, resulted in 150 charges being brought, according to Gardaí this morning.

80 Arrested In Dublin Drug Operation
Some 80 arrests have been made in the past 48 hours in a mass drug operation in Dublin. Detectives from the Garda National Drugs Unit working closely with local Garda units from the greater Dublin area searched over 100 premises in the past 48 hours and arrested 80 people suspected of involvement in the sale and supply of Heroin and Cocaine.
